Despecialized gave us the OT in higher quality and Harmy kept making improvements to his projects over the years when new sources became available. As we speak, he’s working on Despecialized 3.0 with 4k77 as his main source for OT shots. STAR WARS Trilogy Despecialized Remastered Edition 720p HD x264.
Both Star Wars and Empire are in 1080p now, with multiple soundtracks (5.1, 2.0, Mono, commentaries) and Jedi is still only 720p for now, but he's currently working on updating that one as well.
So lets say you’re celebrating May 4th properly (May the 4th be with you) and you decide to add Harmy’s Despecialized Edition of the original Star Wars trilogy to your Plex Movie collection.

- The Star Wars released in 1977 no longer exists. The same is true for the sequel, Empire Strikes Back.Fans should know that there’s a way to view the original trilogy as it was initially released.
- Looking for Star Wars despecialized edition on Drive. Posted by 7 months ago. Looking for Star Wars despecialized edition on Drive.
However you already have the Original Star Wars, from VHS, DVD or Bluray, in your collection and you want to keep it and display them separately.
Thankfully Plex, as always it seems, has a solution.
When you add the content initially it will probably scrape it for the movie information and identify it as a duplicate.
That’s actually a good start so lets go to your movie collection and filter for duplicates.
So in your Plex web interface go to “Options”

Then “New Filter”
now select “Duplicates”
you should now see your duplicate movies
Conveniently enough I just finished adding the Lord of the Rings Extended Editions from my Blu-ray and they are awaiting organization.
Easyworship 2009 free full version. To organize them first we must split them apart so click on the movie to see the full details and in that screen we can get access to the split apart option.
Click the three dots and choose “Split Apart”
Now once they are split apart you’ll have to identify which one is which. To do that in this case I searched for “Lord of the rings” which showed me both copies side by side.
In this view again we are going to click on the three dots for more options and we are going to choose “Info”
With the info screen pulled up we can see the file name for the movie we’re looking at to confirm which version it is that we are editing.
Once we know we’re looking at the right movie we want to edit the title. Go ahead and close the info window and click the pencil for Edit instead.
In here you’ll see the original title and notice that the lock on the left is grayed out. I’m going to edit this to add Extended Edition at the end and you’ll notice it “Locks” that change in too which is another great feature that prevents the scraping engine in Plex from updating this title automatically in the future.
The next thing I would suggest for organization is to add a tag to the movie which will place it into a collection as pictured below

Finally to visually differentiate the movie from the other copy in your library, which is useful when browsing from say a Roku, we should change the Poster image.
